Day Trips and Shore Excursions to Historic Halifax

July 24th, 2009 - Posted by: admin

Halifax Nova Scotia is hands down one of the most historic and beautiful cities in Canada. A Halifax group tour or day trip is a great way to explore this vibrant city if you only have a day or so. Stroll the waterfront, from the cruise ship terminal to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, past the schooner Bluenose II and famous Privateer’s Warehouse in the Historic Properties to the Casino Nova Scotia. Climb the hill to the Halifax Citadel, a magnificent star fortress which has defended the port for over 250 years and thrill to the skirl of bagpipes and the musket drill of kilted red-coat soldiers.

Enjoy a summer’s afternoon in the Public Gardens, the oldest formal Victorian Garden in North America, and still leased from the Queen for one dollar per year. Take in some shopping on Spring Garden Rd, one of the best people watching venues anywhere.

All of this and more is available on one of Blue Diamond Tours exclusive small group shore excursions…
